Chauffeur Service in Jumeirah Dubai: Common Mistakes to Avoid When Booking

What if you booked a luxury car for attending an important meeting or for an airport transfer, but the driver turned out to be late, or the vehicle did not match your expectations? It would surely not be a very good beginning for your trip. The point of booking a chauffeur service is to make your trip stress-free and easy for you. There are certain mistakes that you might make while planning a good trip that can ruin everything.

Here are seven mistakes you must avoid while booking a Chauffeur service in Jumeirah, Dubai.

1. Selecting a Service Based on Cost Only

No one ever wants to pay more than necessary; however, the most cost-effective booking may not always be the right choice. The low cost may be accompanied by limited vehicle choices, extra charges for waiting, and restrictions on travel. Before settling on a service provider, it is important to see what the quote entails. You must check whether it includes waiting time, parking fees, and tolls. Does it have extra costs associated with night-time bookings? Consider the full package of services rather than the cost of booking only.

2. Not Inspecting the Vehicle before Booking

The type of vehicle is of paramount importance, particularly when you are travelling with family members, luggage, or for a business function. A luxury sedan would be ideal for airport pick-up or a business meeting, whereas an SUV may provide more space for a family or a group of people. Before booking, make sure to inspect the vehicle type, its passenger capacity, luggage space, and other features.

3. Not Informing the Chauffeur About Your Travel Information

Your chauffeur requires accurate information in order to plan your trip. Even the smallest details left out may result in a delay. Provide your pick-up point, destination, date of travel, time, and the number of people travelling. Also, specify if there are any more stops to make. In case of an airport pick-up, provide your flight number and arrival details to ensure that your trip is planned keeping the schedule changes in mind. While booking, ask yourself, "Have I provided the right pick-up point and the contact number?"

4. Booking at the Last Minute

Need a chauffeur for an early airport transfer or an important meeting? Waiting until the last moment can limit your vehicle choices and make scheduling more difficult. As Jumeirah is a busy residential and visitor area, and travel times can vary depending on traffic and your destination, try to book in advance, especially for airport transfers, weddings, business meetings, and busy travel periods. Confirm your pickup time and allow enough time for the journey.

5. Ignoring the Driver's Experience

You should feel comfortable throughout the journey. A good chauffeur does more than drive you from one place to another. You also want someone who knows the roads, follows safe driving practices, communicates clearly, and respects your time. Ask whether drivers are properly licensed and familiar with your planned route. Local road knowledge can be helpful when traffic builds up, or you need to reach an unfamiliar destination

6. Ignoring Booking and Cancellation Policies

Your appointment may get delayed, your flight may be delayed, or you may need a change of pickup point. Before making payment, make sure that you know about the booking terms and the rules for changing the pickup point and waiting time. Also make sure that the price of the booking is affected due to an extended trip or additional stops.

7. If All Chauffeur Services Are Equally Good

Two services might use cars that look alike but actually vary in some significant respects. There is the service that gives you the service of tracking your flights at the airport, while another will have a completely different system when it comes to waiting and luggage. Do not judge the services by just looking at the pictures of the vehicles. Look at what else there is apart from this.
